R28 SARMAT SUPER POWERFUL ICBM WILL BE PROTECTED BY S 500 & MOZYR ACTIVE DEFENSE !

The U.S has been investing a significant amount
of effort in developing anti-missile defense systems. One of these is GMD or Ground-Based Midcourse
Defense which is designed with an aim to protect against incoming missiles by engaging them
during the midcourse phase of ballistic trajectory flight in space. The system is designed to protect the U.S
mainland. GMD is the only system that is available to
the U.S military which can intercept Inter-Continental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM). In 2019, America’s Ground-Based Interceptor
(GBI) from the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense system successfully destroyed an Intercontinental
Ballistic Missile (ICBM) in a test. The U.S Missile Defense Agency stated, “The
test validated a “double-tap” style engagement, where the first interceptor successfully struck
the incoming target reentry vehicle. The second interceptor “then looked at the
resulting debris and remaining objects, and, not finding any other reentry vehicles, selected
the next ‘most lethal object’ it could identify, and struck that, precisely as it
was designed to do”. This was a significant step in the American
missile defense endeavor. To mitigate the challenge posed by advance
air defense like the GMD, Russia has been developing RS-28 Sarmat which is a thermonuclear
intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) that is designed to evade & saturate enemy’s
missile defense systems. But all land-based ICBM including Sarmat is
vulnerable to a first strike when it is in stationary position inside its silo and is
not yet launched. In this video Defense Updates how Russia plans
to protect its most powerful weapon RS-28 Sarmat from America? Let’s get started. This video is sponsored by the free-to-play
military vehicle combat game War Thunder. We talk a lot about military vehicles on this
channel, but what about trying them out for yourself? In War Thunder, you can chose from more than
1200 playable vehicles from the 1930s to the 1990s and go to battle on more than 80 theaters
of war. You can fly aircraft, helicopters, drive tanks
and command ships of all types and sizes, which have all been carefully recreated from
their real-world counterparts. It’s available as a free download on PC, PlayStation4
and Xbox One with cross-platform support, so grab your friends and give it a try! All viewers of Defense Updates that register
using the link in the description below will also get a free premium tank or aircraft or
ship and three days of premium account time as a bonus. The RS-28 Sarmat is a Russian liquid-fueled,
MIRV or Multiple Independent Reentry Vehicle -equipped ICBM under development by the Makeyev
Rocket Design Bureau since 2009. It is intended to replace the R-36M ICBM which
is also known as Satan. Sarmat uses Liquid Propellant the exact nature
of which is classified. It weighs in at a massive 100 tons, making
it the heaviest missile in the world. To give viewers a perspective, the American
Minuteman III weighs 35 tons approximately. According to some estimates, the missile’s
striking range is about 18,000 km (11,184.6 miles). It also has a payload capability for 10 to
15 warheads, each with a capacity of up to 750 kilotons
These estimates make it the most destructive weapon on the earth. To give viewers a perspective, Little Boy
atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima had a yield of 15 kt of TNT. Samrat’s cumulative explosive power will
be 15 warheads multiply by 750 kt that is around 11,000 kt of TNT. The Russian news outlet Sputnik reported sometime
back that Sarmat is “capable of wiping out parts of the Earth the size of France or Texas”
and by these figures, it seems that the analysis is correct. The missile’s preparation to launch is under
60 seconds utilizing a highly automated launch system. The missile’s payload capacity will also
enable it to carry up to 3 Avangard hypersonic glide vehicles (HGVs) instead of regular nuclear
warheads. Viewers may note that as per Russian military
Avangard has been recently deployed Sarmat will also have countermeasures designed
to defeat anti-missile systems which include dummy warheads. On 30 March 2018, the Russian Defence Ministry
published a video showing the Sarmat performing its second successful test-launch at the Plesetsk
Cosmodrome. Sarmat will be operationally deployed by 2021. Most developed countries especially the U.S
has a large number of military satellites that are constantly scanning for possible
the launch sites of ICBMs. It is likely that most silo-based launch sites
of big missiles like Sarmat will be geotagged by the U.S military. Though these missile silos are heavily reinforced
and built to withstand attacks, a heavy preemptive strike could potentially take these out destroying
the missile in the ground. This is why Ballistic Missile Submarines armed
with SLBM or Submarine Launched Ballistic missiles are considered to be the most survival
part of the Nuclear Triad, unlike the land-based ICBMs. For this reason, strategic missiles have been
dispersed across land and undersea by militarily advance nations like Russia, U.S, China. For example, the 14 Ballistic Missile Submarines
of Ohio class together carry approximately 50% of the total US active inventory of strategic
thermonuclear warheads. Keeping the threat in perspective, Russian
experts are going great lengths to shield Sarmat from a preemptive first strike by the
U..S As per reports, the Sarmat missile complexes
will be protected by the S 500 air defense system and Mozyr active protection system. S 400 is considered to be the most lethal
operational air defense system in the world. S 500 takes it to the next level, improving
on all major parameters. S 500 has an engagement range of 600 km or
372 miles as compared to 400 km or 250 miles of S 400. While S 400 missiles use Hit To Kill approach
and Conventional Warhead, S 500 missiles will also have a nuclear warhead so that it can
take out a bunch of threats with one shot. Like S 400, S 500 will field different types
of missiles to neutralize different kinds of threats. Same as S 400, the S 500 will use multiple
radars for target detection and tracking The radars are expected to be more powerful
and have many features specifically designed to overcome countermeasures and stealth. Russia claims that the missile system taking
out stealth warplanes like the F-22 Raptor and the F-35 Lightning II. While the S-400 is designed to defend against
short and medium-range missiles, the S 500 is being designed to combat even intercontinental
ballistic missiles. The principle of KAZ operation is based on
the defeat of air targets by metal balls with a diameter of up to 30 millimeters at an altitude
of up to 6 km or 3.7 miles. In early December 2012, the source of the
newspaper “Izvestia” in the military department said that charges with 40,000 metal balls
will be fired at the target with an initial speed of up to 1800 meters per second which
will create after the blast at a certain height an “iron cloud” capable of destroying any
air target. Mozyr Active Defense complexes are planned
to be used primarily to cover strategic objects: command posts, communication centers as well
as launch silos of Sarmat. The complex would be the last layer of missile
defense and it will be activated if incoming threat manages to get passed S-500. The KAZ includes radar detection and guidance
systems, as well as special artillery units. Mozyr Active Defense Complexes will have 80
to 100 barrels and fire simultaneously to create a dense metal cloud which is virtually
impossible to get through. As per sources, even the most well-designed
enemy’s warhead will be destroyed at a distance of up to 1000 meters short of the protected
asset.. Missile defense is one of the most technologically
challenging quests, it’s like hitting a bullet with another bullet. On the surface, it looks like a defensive
weaponry but there is much more to it as it can disturb the MAD equilibrium. Mutually assured destruction (MAD) is a doctrine
of military strategy and national security policy in which a full-scale use of nuclear
weapons by two or more opposing sides would cause the complete annihilation of both the
attacker and the defender. It is based on the theory of deterrence, which
holds that the threat of using strong weapons against the enemy prevents the enemy’s use
of those same weapons. The strategy is a form of Nash equilibrium
in which, once armed, neither side has any incentive to initiate a conflict or to disarm. A missile like Sarmat which is specifically
designed to defeat most advance missile defenses will ensure Russian nuclear deterrence remains
credible. It is natural that Russia is going the extra
distance to protect one of its most lethal assets.

It's funny how Russia calls a 100 ton missile "maneuverable" lol. Just like they call the Avangard maneuverable and the only hypersonic ICBM(when literally almost all if not all ICBMs are hypersonic)… Yet none can explain if your target launches missile defenses at around 10-20k feet, at mach 20+ you will be moving at speeds of around approximately 18,030 mph (29,020 km/h) so in seconds you will be off course and miss since the missile evaded then tried to correct it's course. Hence why every single nation still uses subsonic missiles. They are much more maneuverable since they are slower and can correct course easier.
Another example anyone who drives will understand… Is it easier to turn going slower or faster… Slower…

Naa I hope people learn despite our history telling otherwise, we need to take a turn towards something else, a better future for all or we are all doomed. Sure your leaders may survive a while deep underground, but if you think they have reserved a spot for you and your family? Nuclear war between the great powers will never happen as the destructive power of just a hand full of nuclear warheads would kill 10s to 100s of millions, collaspe the world's economies, rain radioactive dust for months, destroy crops and cause mass starvation, epic diseases and linger for generations. Unless leaders want to live underground for a couple of years only to be hunted down by the survivors to be executed.

American new doctrine includes pre-emptive nuclear strike.
US Air force General Tod Wolters recently said in Senate hearing he's a fan of pre-emptive strike policy.
Trump ordered manufacturing of tactical nukes that could further lower use of nuclear weapons.
Russian response is: you use any kind if nukes against us, whether tactical or otherwise, we launch retaliatory strike with nuclear weapons.
Russia made sure if nuclear war breaks out, no one lives on this planet to tell what happened.
Their nuclear doctrine says not to use nuclear weapons, unless the survival of state is in question.
S500 here in question will make sure at least some silo ICBMs survive the first strike and then comes retaliatory strike from Satans 2 ICBMs, Poseidon 50MT under water drones, submarine SLBMs, air launched tactical nukes and all other nuclear arsenal that ends the human civilisation on this planet.
It is the insurance policy and when it comes to this game, there's no bluffing as everyone knows that there's no winners at the end.

Ivan will be seen jump starting (push starting) his missiles. If the western alliance needs to render Ivan’s missiles safe they will use their secret weapon – The Israeli Airforce or Israeli special forces. 🤣

The easiest way to destroy them is hacking and blowing up in the launch tube. That's why both countries are heavily invested in cyber security and hacker teams. S-500 won't be able to intercept half the weapons in use over the next few years, yeah i know according to Moscow it can intercept stealth aircraft on Pluto. The worst thing to do in Russia is arm it with nuclear warheads, they keep blowing themselves up with conventional weapons. They already had a nuclear incident during testing of their nuclear driven cruise missile. Soon we can toss out another batch of spinach due to S-500 failure.

Personally; I do not like Nukes just because it's pointless to fight same as drones. Besides Nukes are indiscriminate in terms of destruction and U.C.A.V.s are for slackers. Now that the "cat is out of the bag" – Shall we? Mozyr! Never heard of that (the nomenclature was foreign to me but I've seen sketches of it). I know about 42S6 Morfey (Greek mythology god of dreams). Proof that Russia has certain weapons that are still classified. When Mr. Putin became president (for the very 1st time), Russia had roughly 5500 defense projects collecting dusts (on shelves so to speak). Money enables a lot of things that's for sure… It's basically the shotgun approach regarding an effective Air Defense Missile. Get close enough and detonate 1000s of small metal balls at high velocity with the hope that one or several will hit (smart). The S 500 on the other hand is even as smart as the previously stated approach: Thermobaric weapons, aerosol weapon or vacuum weapon very likely as warhead instead of Nukes. Similar to a tiny nuclear warhead without the residual mess (radioactive fallout and so on). By the way the US has started work on the "Glide Breaker" or as I put it the "A-vanguard killer". [Monologue]: "This is getting fun! Got my popcorn popping. The DO NOT DISTURB sign at the door and a nice refreshing infusion being chilled for the event. Oh Goody! That Mozyr facility looked like it was abandoned since the end of the Cold War. I'd be shocked if half of Russia's military claims were remotely true. I expect Putin to claim they have Godzilla in a cage and will release him on the world if they are attacked.

You have a great voice for narration but use it in such a sing-songy manner that I think it detracts. Also, it would be good to take a tip from media professionals and pronounce the as thuh instead of thee.

It won't work. First in 1962 both the US and USSR learned that exploding a thermonuclear device in space creates a nuclear blackout that will blind radar for hours or days making defense systems useless. EMP is believed to be one of three mechanisms causing this effect. Refer to a test called Starfish Prime part of Operation Dominic.

The place to station defensive systems is in orbit. They can attack missiles in the boost as well as the mid course phase. Hit to kill is a dumb strategy. Whether defending against missile attacks at sea or on land a defensive missile should have a small nuclear warhead and in the atmosphere intended to detonate in the oncoming path of the attacker ahead of it.

Each Trident II D5 missile can carry up to 14 W88 475 kiloton warheads. A 750 kiloton warhead is not much more powerful than a 475 kiloton warhead as the effect is increased by the cubed root of the difference. Each of 14 Trident SSBN submarines can carry up to 24 Trident missiles. They have a range of over 7000 miles and reenter the earth's atmosphere at Mach 24. Each of those submarines are the most lethal weapons ever built. One could burn down all of Europe In less than half an hour. They are solid fueled, lie in an undectable sanctuary deep under the ocean and all 24 of them can be fired within one minute.

I hope if Russia launches the Sarmat against the US, the US retaliates by using all 14 SSBNs launching all their Trident 2 missiles at Russia completely emptying each sub of nuclear weapons. Then invade Russia shortly after taking all their gold and oil reserves.

MAD is a sunny way to say 20% Threshold
This Threshold is the percentage necessary to destroy a nation-state. Summarised, removing 20% of any Legitimate and Sovereign nation's population, via Countervalue and Counterforce Targeting, creates a series of Domino Effects. Even if Hardened COG Bunkers and personnel survived the strike(s), losing such a significant proportion of the total population causes any nation to implode and all aspects of governance (on a good day, let's say the COG Bunkers survived) the ability to provide and project any semblance of both Primary Functions of government will not extend beyond the city limits of the new capital/seat.
e.g. Kind of like what occurs in Failed, Failing and the Narco States such as Colombia prior to Plan Colombia, the underrated IR/FP move created by the Bush Administration. Before, the rule of law didn't extend beyond Bogotá, Hell, it barely extended past the the inner city!

Providing food, medicine, water, fire and police service, basic utilities and enforcement degrade along with the ability to produce most industrial infrastructure needs, thereby reducing the amount of accessible goods, create jobs and maintain an economic development or distribution of basic services.

This sucks on a normal day, when a thunderstorm takes out a substation and power loss blankets parts of a city. Imagine everything is dark and will stay dark. No cleanup and topsoil full of decaying fallout and residual Radiation particles. No way to grow, harvest, process and distribute food and goods means emergency rations quickly dwindle and those survivors not stricken with ARS or those in latency, will do what they must to survive and support/protect families. Lawlessness. Communities forming alliances to ward off refugees flooding in from major arteries looking for shelter and anything. Outbreaks of disease, coupled with ruined immune systems will join starvation and Radiation Sickness in killing massive amounts of people and animals.

After several weeks – months, depending on the system of government and health of a nation prior to the exchange is the main dynamic Metric, but it only influences the time. ALL Government will fail eventually under these circumstances. Hence, Mutually Assured Destruction not only means date from the weapons detonating, but the absolute collapse of Government and State Implosion.

    Not a pleasant thought, innit?
    Sweet dreams!

Lol I'm just curious how Russia claims to have all these new weapons, n platforms, etc… When the Russian economy is shit, under sanction. How is funding possible for all this new tech, and yet put there SU-57 program on the shelf due to lack of funding, and countries pulling out due to poor fabrication flaws, major engine problems. And these new weapons platforms haven't been shown to the world???????

You made a serious error. The Sarmat's striking range is not 18,000 km. It is significantly more than 20,000 km, significantly more than 13,000 miles, more than half the circumference of the Earth. That's why it weighs so much. It has the longest range of any ICBM. The whole point of the Sarmat is that it can strike a target by flying in two different directions. It can fly the long way and approach the United States from the Gulf of Mexico where there isn't any missile defense instead of coming over the North Pole. Almost all of America's capability to intercept ICBM's is directed at missiles coming from the north.

Like any missile, it will be most vulnerable during launch and boost phase. Now, it becomes clear how an asset like an aerial laser could help minimize, or neutralize a missile attack. The cancelled ‘Boeing YAL-1’ would have been one of this valuable assets. It’s cancelation was a mistake. But this, and the proposed U.S. Army’s ‘SLRA’ long range cannon (1000 mi), could help defeat China’s A2/D2 denial strategy.
